Register for the Royal Meteorological Society Event: Tailoring Seasonal Climate Forecasts for the Utility Sector

Sharing in WEMC’s mission to promote and enhance interaction between the weather, climate, broader environmental sciences community and the energy sector, we are excited to collaborate with the Royal Meteorological Society and the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) on the upcoming Tailoring Seasonal Climate Forecasts for the Utility Sector Meeting.

Hosted in-person on Wednesday 18th May from 13:30 – 17:00 BST at the ECMWF headquarters in Reading, UK, where Managing Director Alberto Troccoli will be attending WEMC’s first physical meeting since the start of the pandemic to chair a session!

This meeting will review the science of seasonal forecasting, the availability and use of its products, and present how this information is used by the energy and water industries. A discussion forum will also be held at the end as a way to take stock of lessons learnt during the meeting, and to allow participants to quiz talk presenters.

The event is free, open to non-members and is part of the Royal Meteorological Society Meetings programme, which are open to all, from expert to enthusiast, for topical discussions on the latest advances in weather and climate.
